18 Years ago Comfort Matters saved us from carbon monoxide poisoning. We are on the plan where they come out every six months to clean and check the furnace and a/c. Great / honest service. Very respectful employees. Because the furnace is 18 years old and the a/c is 26 years old it is time to put a new system in. The furnace displayed a very small crack. I have no worries putting the new system in, Plus they have saved me money advising on all the discounts and rebates out there.Thank you Corey and his team.

Wes was able to pinpoint the culprits of my furnace and water heater problems on first visit (it was not easy, btw), and fixed them on subsequent appointments (special order parts were needed, thus slight delay), while providing detailed explanation of the work to be done and the reasons for it (with a walk-through and pointing to evidence of the problems; he also provided his expert opinion and offered several options for solution). More so, he went far beyond expected to investigate a noise problem in vent ducts, and found a solution yet again!I believe that Wes is a true professional who really cares about quality of his work, and I can wholeheartedly recommend his services. Thank you, Wesley!Comfort Matters pricing policies are very reasonable: no "hourly charge" BS on a service call - only flat fee, and technician is there to find the root cause of the problem for as long as it takes; same applies to repair work - exact estimate upfront, no gimmicks, no extra charges, no push to sell you something that you do not really need. Personally, I think that it is an indication of professionalism and commitment to providing good and honest service - a rare quality nowadays.Draw your own conclusions, but if/when HVAC-related problem happens in my house again, I will be calling Comfort Matters!March 17, 2025: problem with the heater. Side note - I am paying for the "preferred customer" subscription, but I'd say that so far it paid off big time, with furnace and ac tune-ups and discounts on new installs, and now even this service. Not an advertisement, I've been CM customer for over a decade. Seriously, I am paying them, and they did not pay me to leave this review - just my appreciation of quality work and quick response.2025-09-17 - Chad was here to perform regular tune-up and inspection of the furnace. Did a great job, no complaints whatsoever, even made friends with my dog and one of my cats. And I must say that I am paying CM $15.99 a month as a "preferred customer", but I can honestly say that it is a good deal, with free furnace tune-up and ac cleaning twice a year, plus discounts - and NO, this is not an advertisement, just and honest opinion of a happy customer... believe it or not, your choice - but I am sticking with Comfort Matters for foreseeable future.

We called Comfort Matters to come out and just do a general tune-up on our aging 20 year old system as it had been about 5 years since last checked, with the primary concern being the A/C unit. Included in the A/C check was a full system check that Comfort Matters was running this month as a special for no extra charge.John Reiter did an excellent job checking out our system, and was very thorough. Afterwards, he explained to me on what his findings were and took the time to elaborate on any questions that I had. He gave several options of maintaining the existing equipment to keep it in operation, and he also indicated that Comfort Matters can do a full replacement if needed. I appreciate how this was approached by John as he did not try to push any service too hard.I would definitely recommend the inspection service again...some of the components that John reported were beginning to show signs of concern can be addressed by myself, and it is extremely helpful having an expert do a write-up.When it comes time to fully commit to a new system, I will highly consider Comfort Matters.

He did all of his checks, then reviewed everything with us. THIS is why we stick with Comfort Matters. Great service from great folks, like Lyndon.Here is why we keep coming back to Comfort Matters: THEY CARE. Every interaction with the Comfort Matters team is polite and professional. We have them do semi-annual checkups on our system, and we have had them replace our AC. Today, we had them replace our furnace. They had spotted a troubling issue on a recent checkup, and we decide to get it replaced. The install team was Ian Holt and Nolan, both of whom were professional and competent technicians. They did an amazing job on the installation. And Ian inspected our system thoroughly, and ensured any issues were properly resolved. They cared about the work they were doing. Lots of places SAY they care about doing a good job. Comfort Matters proved they actually DO care about doing a good job. And that is why we keep coming back to them. Bee provided thorough education on how my system works and common areas to watch for to ensure I'm knowledgeable of preventative measures to take for my system upkeep. Bee went above and beyond, even sprayed WD-40 on some of my squeaky entry doors to fix those; after asking for permission of course. Honestly have had great interactions and service from the technicians all the way to the scheduling team at Comfort Matters. Very solid and friendly business through and through and will always recommend their services.

Follow up review; After my initial install of both air and heat units by Joe and Drew (who were total pros) I had a follow up call from their main office to see how things were running and if I had any questions. As it turns out, I had some questions about the most efficient operation of the unit that might involve an "in person" visit from a Tech. The office promptly scheduled an in home follow call on my MY first available day off and were at my house on time. Joe took a look and made some adjustments and I could not be happier!Everything about this business is professional, efficient, and extremely well managed.The owner (Corey Hickmann) actually did my quote because one of his sales team called in sick that day! In this day and age very few business owners are "hands on" and involved in the day today operations. I was also impressed that the main office did a follow up. (also professional and courteous) Most businesses these days operate on a "take the money and run" method of operation, but it appears that the entire team is really invested in the professional operation and success of this business.Job well done!!My technician was Lyndon and he did a great job. I am an "informed" home owner and I ask a lot of questions. ( Al ot of question!) Lyndon answered all of my questions with clear answers and I was satisfied that he did all that he could do.

Our AC unit stopped working on a hot weekend. Other AC companies promised fast responses, but gave me days or weeks before a technician would come out, many did not even have an agent I could speak to. Comfort Matters picked up the phone saturday morning and I spoke to Leti, who was kind, polite, and thoughtful. She promised a tech could arrive by Monday afternoonI got a message Monday morning that the tech, John had actually finished his work ahead of schedule and could arrive at my house immediately. I was especially pleased and Comfort even provided me a bio and the qualifications of John before he arrived. I was very impressed with this level of transparency and how the company wished to earn my confidence by introducing the technician beforehand.My confidence turned out to be well placed. John was extremely friendly, polite, and very diligent. He walked me through every step and the purpose of each component, and listened and addressed each concern. He never talked down or judged my own inexperience with the matter, he clearly demonstrated his extensive knowledge of the system and its maintenance and communicated it articulately and in a supportive friendly manner. I hope that John gets a raise for his diligence and efficient work, and customer care skills. I will be recommending Comfort Matters to my neighbors who are seeking these services.**Update**So after reviewing the status of our existing Furnace/AC setup, it was clear I would need to accelerate my plans to replace our heating/cooling system. I discussed my options with a few companies, and once again, Comfort Matters provided me with the best service. Brandon sat down with me and explained the difference between each of my furnace and AC options; the mechanical differences with each, they're power usage vs impact, and financing options for each. I was especially impressed to know that Comfort Matters was willing to file the necessary paperwork on my behalf for rebates and tax credits from our energy company and the state.Once I had decided upon the unit's I wanted installed, the work came together with clinical efficiency from the CM team. No sooner had I signed the work order on Friday, Monday at 8am, technicians Lucas and Nick arrived at my home to begin the work. Both guys were extremely friendly, knowledgable, and demonstrated great care in our home and interest in our thoughts and questions.Nick and Lucas both knew we would be having a 90 degree day that day, and so they resolved to complete the entire work process at once: the removal of the old AC and Furnace, the modifications to our ductwork, addition of an external exhaust port, and installation of the new units, thermostat, and testing of the system.Nick and Lucas worked with impressive diligence and efficiency. I came down to check in on them throughout the day, and they were working, preparing, and moving the entire 10 hours it took to complete the project. As a surprising addition, they also cleaned the work area in my utility room and the adjoining bathroom, leaving it actually cleaner than I had it initially- which was itself an immense help for me.Our new heating and cooling system is working flawlessly so far. But Nick and Lucas provided me business cards to reach them personally should I have a question on the thermostat system or any issues. They had provided me some very detailed knowledge for basic troubleshooting, and I appreciate being given those tools to help myself as well!A big shoutout to John, Brandon, Nick and Lucas for the amazing customer service, the warm and kind interactions, and the efficiency and effectiveness of their work. I can personally attest to this team's professional and personal quality, and I strongly believe Comfort Matters is one of, if not the best choice for AC and Furnace work in the Minneapolis area
