With temperatures below zero a groundfall circuit interrupter was shutting off our furnace. The first thing we did was call Comfort Matters. The employee on the phone was incredibly nice to deal with. She checked with the technician in the shop about our problem. Nick, the technician, showed up within thirty minutes. The cause of the G FI trippings was mysterious to say the least. Nick was also very professional and motivated. He examined our system and found several things that needed attention and quickly remedied every single one. He explained everything to me to make sure I knew what to do to avoid any future issues. In today's world I was surprised at the superior level of customer service Nick provided. From the gregarious phone reception to the service provided I thought.... what a GREAT team to work with.

We survived! At one point i had leggings under jeans, a turtlenck under a sweater, under a zip-up fleece jacket, socks, slippers, and a down winterThe new furnace is in and the house is toasty! We have a fancy new system with a heat pump, a super efficient air filter, and a thermostat that I can control with my phone! What will they think of next? We used a local company, Comfort Matters. We didn't get a bunch of estimates because we were in dire straits, freezing our tuchuses off. We had contact with several young people from start to finish: repair guy, estimator guy, duct cleaning guys, installers, electricians, supervisors...each and every one of them was competent, polite, helpful, and above all, kind. What a great experience! The system seems to be working, we should get rebates and credits, and lower energy bills too!Thanks to friends and neighbors who offered help, space heaters and a place to stay if it got too bad (it didn't, with only the last night being below zero degrees Farenheit).Kindness matters! Our potentially horrible experience was turned around by the kindness of friends, and a company that must instill in its employees the importance of thoughtfulness in words and deeds, in addition to competence. We are warm from head to toe and in our hearts too!

So we had Lyndon out to check over our furnace for a noise and maintenance checkup. Unfortunately, the noise was the inducer motor, and the blower motor had a small leak. He clearly gave us all of our options, including making us aware of huge rebates that expire at the end of the year. Lyndon gave us quotes on every repair and replacement option with no upselling or pressure. We did choose to replace our system because of the age, 14+ years old, and the rebates. Never had a bad experience with Comfort Matters, so looking forward to install which they'll get done within the week!

I am a first time customer at Comfort Matters. I called to have my furnace inspected before winter; yes I know winter is upon us now. To my surprise I was able to have a technician come out the very next week. Lyndon Yang arrived at my door with a smile on his face and ready to do the inspection. Lyndon was professional, knowledgeable, and educated me on everything with my furnace. He showed me the photos and explained the good and the bad. After the inspection, we talked about the pros and cons of fixing or replacing; there was no doubt in my mind that that I needed to replace the 27 year old furnace, air conditioner and water heater. This is where Lyndon listened to me and my situation. He took the time to evaluate everything and I am getting all new items NEXT WEEK , how about that for service! Everyone who I have had contact with has been friendly, patient, and understanding. I’m looking forward to the installation and hope they are as conscientious as Lyndon and the others I’ve dealt with. It started out with yearly maintenance. We had worked with Lyndon when we replaced our AC unit and he was the maintenance tech that inspected our furnace. Our furnace was twenty-one years old this year and I had noticed some combustion issues with it. Lyndon did testing and found that our furnace wasn't exhausting CO due to age and corrosion issues with our heat exchanger in the furnace. I was skeptical at first thinking he just want to sell us a furnace, but he showed me the readings. The CO readings should rise to 100ppm and then when the exhaust fan kicks in it should drop to 50ppm. Ours started at 50 and topped out at 950ppm. The safety threshold is 400ppm, anything greater and the furnace is "red tagged" and condemned. That kind of CO could travel into the ducts and throughout the house. Because we are members of the their Sunshine Club, we received the maintenance call, prioritization of replacement and discount on purchase of new equipment.It took about fourty-eight hours for the installation crew to arrive. Brady arrived first, then Joe. The install was a little complex because we were changing to a high efficiency furnace so we needed PVC run and intake ducting replaced, and all done with a furnace that was surrounded by three walls, so not much space to maneuver. Nick and Mitchell showed up to help with all the details when the day started to get late. All told it took about seven hours from start to finish. By the time they left, we had a new furnace, larger intake, and better filter. The financing was super easy and the cost of the different options for replacement was clear.We had a great conversation with Lyndon about what would work best for us and we never felt pressured to buy things we didn't need. Comfort Matters takes care of the entire process from start to finish. So while we weren't happy about having to buy a new furnace, Comfort Matters made the entire process simple and answered all of my questions before and during the process.We are pleased with our purchase and hope this is our next twenty year furnace.
