The technician that worked with my AC unit was Wes. Wes was thorough and was detailed in letting me know what my issues were. He was very specific and honest with what needs to be done and what could wait. He was very patient with me and all of my questions and answered them thoroughly. Lyndon was the maintenance specialist that came and did a tune-up on my furnace and ac unit. He was very professional and courteous throughout. Bee was here today to complete a tune-up of my ac and furnace. Bee was very professional and knowledgeable and showed genuine interest in me as well, asking questions and becoming familiar with me which made the interaction fun. Bee provided thorough education on how my system works and common areas to watch for to ensure I'm knowledgeable of preventative measures to take for my system upkeep. Bee went above and beyond, even sprayed WD-40 on some of my squeaky entry doors to fix those; after asking for permission of course. Honestly have had great interactions and service from the technicians all the way to the scheduling team at Comfort Matters. Very solid and friendly business through and through and will always recommend their services.

Wes was able to pinpoint the culprits of my furnace and water heater problems on first visit (it was not easy, btw), and fixed them on subsequent appointments (special order parts were needed, thus slight delay), while providing detailed explanation of the work to be done and the reasons for it (with a walk-through and pointing to evidence of the problems; he also provided his expert opinion and offered several options for solution). More so, he went far beyond expected to investigate a noise problem in vent ducts, and found a solution yet again!I believe that Wes is a true professional who really cares about quality of his work, and I can wholeheartedly recommend his services. Thank you, Wesley!Comfort Matters pricing policies are very reasonable: no "hourly charge" BS on a service call - only flat fee, and technician is there to find the root cause of the problem for as long as it takes; same applies to repair work - exact estimate upfront, no gimmicks, no extra charges, no push to sell you something that you do not really need. Personally, I think that it is an indication of professionalism and commitment to providing good and honest service - a rare quality nowadays.Draw your own conclusions, but if/when HVAC-related problem happens in my house again, I will be calling Comfort Matters!March 17, 2025: problem with the heater. Technician was dispatched same day, no exuberant fees,; found the problem and fixed it in under an hour. Did other checkups and AC prep and fix as well, worked overtime. Thank you, Lyndon Yang!2025.08.26. Nick was very thorough in checking the main plumbing systems in our house, attentive to details, and polite. For free! Side note - I am paying for the "preferred customer" subscription, but I'd say that so far it paid off big time, with furnace and ac tune-ups and discounts on new installs, and now even this service. Not an advertisement, I've been CM customer for over a decade. Seriously, I am paying them, and they did not pay me to leave this reviews - just my appreciation of quality work and quick response.

Follow up review; After my initial install of both air and heat units by Joe and Drew (who were total pros) I had a follow up call from their main office to see how things were running and if I had any questions. As it turns out, I had some questions about the most efficient operation of the unit that might involve an "in person" visit from a Tech. The office promptly scheduled an in home follow call on my MY first available day off and were at my house on time. Joe took a look and made some adjustments and I could not be happier!Everything about this business is professional, efficient, and extremely well managed.The owner (Corey Hickmann) actually did my quote because one of his sales team called in sick that day! In this day and age very few business owners are "hands on" and involved in the day today operations. I was also impressed that the main office did a follow up. (also professional and courteous) Most businesses these days operate on a "take the money and run" method of operation, but it appears that the entire team is really invested in the professional operation and success of this business.Job well done!!My technician was Lyndon and he did a great job. I am an "informed" home owner and I ask a lot of questions. ( Al ot of question!) Lyndon answered all of my questions with clear answers and I was satisfied that he did all that he could do.

Our AC unit stopped working on a hot weekend. Other AC companies promised fast responses, but gave me days or weeks before a technician would come out, many did not even have an agent I could speak to. Comfort Matters picked up the phone saturday morning and I spoke to Leti, who was kind, polite, and thoughtful. She promised a tech could arrive by Monday afternoonI got a message Monday morning that the tech, John had actually finished his work ahead of schedule and could arrive at my house immediately. I was especially pleased and Comfort even provided me a bio and the qualifications of John before he arrived. I was very impressed with this level of transparency and how the company wished to earn my confidence by introducing the technician beforehand.My confidence turned out to be well placed. John was extremely friendly, polite, and very diligent. He walked me through every step and the purpose of each component, and listened and addressed each concern. He never talked down or judged my own inexperience with the matter, he clearly demonstrated his extensive knowledge of the system and its maintenance and communicated it articulately and in a supportive friendly manner. I hope that John gets a raise for his diligence and efficient work, and customer care skills. I will be recommending Comfort Matters to my neighbors who are seeking these services.**Update**So after reviewing the status of our existing Furnace/AC setup, it was clear I would need to accelerate my plans to replace our heating/cooling system. I discussed my options with a few companies, and once again, Comfort Matters provided me with the best service. Brandon sat down with me and explained the difference between each of my furnace and AC options; the mechanical differences with each, they're power usage vs impact, and financing options for each. I was especially impressed to know that Comfort Matters was willing to file the necessary paperwork on my behalf for rebates and tax credits from our energy company and the state.Once I had decided upon the unit's I wanted installed, the work came together with clinical efficiency from the CM team. No sooner had I signed the work order on Friday, Monday at 8am, technicians Lucas and Nick arrived at my home to begin the work. Both guys were extremely friendly, knowledgable, and demonstrated great care in our home and interest in our thoughts and questions.Nick and Lucas both knew we would be having a 90 degree day that day, and so they resolved to complete the entire work process at once: the removal of the old AC and Furnace, the modifications to our ductwork, addition of an external exhaust port, and installation of the new units, thermostat, and testing of the system.Nick and Lucas worked with impressive diligence and efficiency. I came down to check in on them throughout the day, and they were working, preparing, and moving the entire 10 hours it took to complete the project. As a surprising addition, they also cleaned the work area in my utility room and the adjoining bathroom, leaving it actually cleaner than I had it initially- which was itself an immense help for me.Our new heating and cooling system is working flawlessly so far. But Nick and Lucas provided me business cards to reach them personally should I have a question on the thermostat system or any issues. They had provided me some very detailed knowledge for basic troubleshooting, and I appreciate being given those tools to help myself as well!A big shoutout to John, Brandon, Nick and Lucas for the amazing customer service, the warm and kind interactions, and the efficiency and effectiveness of their work. I can personally attest to this team's professional and personal quality, and I strongly believe Comfort Matters is one of, if not the best choice for AC and Furnace work in the Minneapolis area

Sam did an efficient job of checking the A/C and cleaning it. He went above and beyond by securing the power supply to the A/C which had apparently been loosened when siding was replaced. Very courteous and friendly.John checked the furnace and showed photos of problem areas. He explained well the remedies and expected costs. He was very pleasant and efficient.Lyndon was personable and friendly. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, even finding miswiring of our HVAC system when it was installed in 2016. We do not blame him but when many things are checked, it seems likely that many problems will be found and recommended repairs from these checks have been running well over $1000.Grant is very personable and I appreciate his showing me where a problem exists with the furnace!Bradley did an efficient and skilled replacement of our water heater after the old one leaked this morning. Many thanks to him. Also thanks to Cody who came over on short notice and diagnosed the problem as well as explaining our opinions without pressure.Lyndon returned to tune up the furnace. He is again very friendly and personable and explained things very clearly. He offered options but was polite and not pushy. He worked carefully and thoroughly. Thanks for his work!Nick and Brandon did a neat and professional job of replacing our furnace and air conditioner with a quieter and more efficient furnace and a quiet and capable heat pump. They were courteous and responsive to our many questions. After the install, Nick showed us the features of our new smart thermostat and helped me install the app on my phone. He also described cleaning the important components on the heat pump and changing the air filter. First rate work.

I'll gladly refer others in the area to use Comfort Matters for their HVAC needs! Nick and his team did a phenomenal job installing three minisplit ductless systems in our home. They cool super quickly and quietly. The installation went smoothly, respectfully and cleanly. The guys were polite, informative and Nick gave me a good tutorial on the new system. Very happy with their service.The initial consultation for a new system was done by their great rep, Brandon Frakes who was easy to work with, gave us fair pricing and was able to answer all my questions quickly and easily. He even showed up during installation to check in and make sure everything was going well.Most recently, we had a water heater failure. I set an appointment late Wednesday night to have it looked at and Friday morning at 8 AM (their soonest opening), their technician, Jake Kothrade, was at my door happy to diagnose the problem and replace the failed water heater. He explained what happened that caused the failure. He offered me four different options for replacement water heaters and once I picked one, he got it shipped in from their warehouse right away and installed before noon. The work was done with an excellent level of care and promptness. This is my first time using Comfort Matters for a plumbing issue and I will gladly use them next time I have an issue. Great service from Comfort Matters!8/1/25-Bee Yang came out today to do the annual checkup for my HVAC system. He was informative, helpful, friendly and easy to talk with. They've sure got some nice technicians at this company!

Jordan pulled a marathon diagnostic for us after a standard look at our furnace initially turned up nothing. He is a very friendly guy. It’s worth noting that we had three visits from Comfort Matters - two of which did not turn up anything. The problem was we woke up to a cold home - twice. And we did not want it happening during a bitter cold week, again. When Jordan found nothing on the second visit we persisted with Comfort because of their Satisfaction Guarantee and Promise. Kyle came out late in the evening to trouble shoot and fix my ac that wasn’t turning on. It ended up being the thermostat. He replaced the thermostat and made sure everything was operating properly. He was very professional and knowledgeable. A huge thank you to Kyle and the comfort matters team!

Bee was really great to work with! He explained things in way that was easy to understand. He took the time to explain what and why he was doing things, as well as what can happen to your A/C/Furnace if you don’t do routine maintenance.Comfort Matters always sends you a picture of who you should expect at your home. They also send a bio…Bee’s bio said he could do a back flip and I didn’t ask him to do one! Maybe next time he’s out to look at our HVAC stuff!
