How often should I replace my air filter?
The air filter on your HVAC system needs replacement every 1 to 3 months. Simple 1" panel filters need changes more frequently, while 4" pleated filters can last for 3–6 months.

What does MERV mean?
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. It’s the standard measurement used for the effectiveness of air filters. The higher the MERV rating, the smaller the particles the filter will trap. Most residential air filtration systems will use filters with MERV of 8 to 12. A filter with a MERV rating that is too high will restrict airflow through the ventilation system.
How can I improve the air quality of my home?

What is a zone control system?

What does a heat pump do?
A heat pump is a refrigerant-based comfort system that works similarly to an air conditioner. However, it can switch the direction in which it operates, so it can work either as a cooling system (moving heat out of the house) or a heating system (moving heat into the house).
What is a ductless system?
A ductless system is a type of heat pump. Unlike standard central heat pumps, ductless systems do not use a single indoor unit connected to a network of ducts. Instead, the outdoor unit connects to 1–4 smaller indoor units mounted up on the exterior walls of rooms around the house. These units contain blower fans and refrigerant coils and send conditioned air directly into the rooms. Each wall-mounted unit can be operated independently of the others.
How can I heat my home more efficiently?
